Top 3 Business-Savvy Ways to use Pinterest for Marketing

I'm excited to share some great insights I came accross in my online research. Did you know that Shoppers referred by Pinterest are 10% more likely to make a purchase than visitors who arrive from other social networks, including Facebook and Twitter? They’ll also spend 10% more on average!

So, it's about time you learned these three key insights from the study that are guaranteed to get you noticed!

I always love sharing my business marketing research on my blog, and I'll keep doing it, if you keep coming back for more. It's easy to subscribe on the right bar!

1) Make a tutorial of how you made the item, or a tutorial on how to use your item in decor or other purposes. Tutorial and guide/DIY recipe pins see a 42% higher click-through rate than other pin types.
Hmmm... my paper wreath diy kit would be perfect for this...

2) Be trendy! I don't mean trying to copy whatever you find on the "popular" feed. I mean posting an image that is related to something going on NOW in the news. For example, the image I'm using for this blog post is the white smoke signaling the a new Pope has been chosen at the Vatican.
Pins related to trending topics see an average of 94% increase in click-throughs.

3) Pin at the BEST TIME to re-pinned
Getting re-pinned is the secret sauce to making pinterest work for more traffic to your Etsy shop or blog. So, pin during the times most pinners are pinning for the most viral bang for your buck!

The best time to pin during the day is between 2 and 4 PM Eastern Standard time.
The best time to pin in the evening is between 8 PM and 1 AM Eastern Standard time

Now... get crackin'!

  1. Social reach is about expanding the number of people your brand can tap into across different social platforms, and Pinterest offers a substantial opportunity for finding new customers. Optimize your social reach by publicizing your Pinterest page on all other social platforms, embedding Pinterest widgets or buttons on your company’s website, and consistently creating pin boards that are populated with images unique to your brand.
